Why MemCachier

Because it's the easiest, most advanced managed Memcache.

How It Works

When you signup with MemCachier, we generate a username and password for your app and give you a list of cache servers to use. That's it! Your cache is ready to use immediately.

You can use any memcache client library that supports SASL authentication to connect to MemCachier -- give the client library the list of servers, username, and password we generate for you, and start writing caching code.

Peace of Mind by Proxy

The list of servers you get when you sign up are your proxy servers, which forward operations to cache servers. This architecture is what enables us to add capacity without requiring you to take any action.

Even better, when you upgrade you get access to multiple proxies. This means we're able to offer consistent hashing and better failure scenarios for you and other customers.

Answers Straight from the Architects

We guarantee performance by providing 24/7 monitoring and maintenance of your cache, so you never have to worry about it. In addition to this, our team is always available to answer any questions you might have, or help work through any issues that arise.

Our support team is made up of the engineers that work directly on our core product, so you’ll never have to answer questions like “Did you try turning it off and back on again?”

MemCachier vs. Memcached

MemCachier is protocol-compliant with Memcached. Any Memcached client library that supports SASL authentication will work with MemCachier. Under the covers, MemCachier is not based on Memcached. You can use MemCachier the same way you'd use Memcached. However, MemCachier has several advantages over Memcached:

  • Never touch servers, daemons, configuration files, or logs.
  • Never change your client code when you add or remove Memcached capacity.
  • Better failure scenarios with high availability clusters.
  • More insight into how you're using your cache with our analytics dashboard.
